Vic Smith for Zara

Short capsule collection created for Zara Woman, centring around my final collection research of 'future' fashion and the influence of Pre A/W '14 trends for the sophisticated yet playful working woman.
Colour and texture where approached through research into utility fabrics and the contrast between luxury and function in clothing. Combining the fabrics with a highly refined yet relaxed silhouette allows the collection to become interchangeable and versatile in its wearability and styling.

Giant Jantar

Final collection: The initial stages of research and experimentation.

The concept is based around the giant architectural forms of the Jantar Mantar astronomy park in Jaipur, India, encompassing the notion of how to understand time using the 'Overview Effect'. A womenswear collection to follow in the coming months!

Concept magazine created to show initial research and the development of leather cutouts into a finished garment. With thanks to Lucinda Popp. 

The New Puritan for Sass and Bide

Self initiated project, working to create a capsule collection for Sass and Bide.
Concept surrounding crop circles and travellers that may come into contact with the enormous man made patterns. Using leather cutouts, experimental print ways and foiled knit to create layered looks for S/S'14.

Kaleid for Chloé

Capsule collection designed as a result of the British Fashion Council set project. Concept revolved around the sphere, kaleidoscope print and mood work, large cocoon silhouettes evolving into a final 3D toile.
